Obituary of Sandra Anne Guy

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sandra Anne Guy announce her passing on March 12, 2026, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Sandy leaves behind her devoted husband of 27 years, who was by her side as they celebrated their wedding anniversary on the very same day.

She will be missed by her three children, James “Jimmy” (Chloe), Rob (Melissa), and Hawk (Steph).

Sandy was the cherished grandmother to Violet, Forest, Avery, Ethan, Eve, Gil, and Kyra. She truly loved being a grandmother, a role she never took for granted. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she made their lives just as special as they made hers.

She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Martha McLeod and is now reunited with them. Sandy shared a special bond with her father, Jack, and always kept his memory close to her heart, often speaking of him with great love. She is now with him, watching over their family together.

She had a love for puzzles and games. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, scratch tickets, and bingo. She also loved playing cards with her family, creating many cherished memories around the table, and even hosting Euchre parties.

Sandy had a fondness for adventurous reality television, especially shows like Survivor, The Amazing Race, and her favourite, Alone. These shows reflected her own love of the outdoors, camping, and cottage trips, something she enjoyed from a young age when she would go camping with her father. She also enjoyed travelling, visiting Scotland twice and even taking a trip to Las Vegas with Ron.

Sandy also enjoyed her Timmies coffee and, in the 1990s, liked going out for dinner at Outback Steakhouse from time to time. She had a special way of making every holiday feel meaningful and memorable. Sandy especially loved Christmas and cherished the family time that came with each holiday. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth and the many simple moments she shared with those closest to her.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes cremation has taken place, arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
