In Loving Memory of Ruth Muriel George (née Ingleton)

Ruth Muriel George, loving wife, mother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, at the age of 78 in Welland, Ontario. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and a lifetime of precious memories.

Ruth was born in Rothesay, New Brunswick, the daughter of Phillip and Muriel Ingleton. She was predeceased by her parents and her infant brother, David Ingleton, but their memory remained close to her heart.

Ruth's life was marked by an enduring love for her family, and she is survived by her devoted husband, Derek George, and her two beloved children, Tori (Wolf) Starchild and Allan (Andrea) Beck. Ruth was a source of unwavering support and boundless love for her family, and her memory will forever be a guiding light in their lives.

She is also survived by her brother, Peter (Leslie)  Ingleton, and her sister, Mary Ingleton, both of New Brunswick who shared a lifetime of special moments with her. Ruth had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, and she was a source of wisdom and affection to them all. Her extensive family circle included numerous cousins, whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Ruth's love extended to her extended family, and she is survived by her brother-in-law, Wayne (Leslie) George, and sister-in-law, Deralyn (Rob) George MacKenzie, who meant a great deal to her. She treasured the bonds she formed with each member of her family, creating a tapestry of love and connection that will forever remain unbroken. Fondly remembered by her former spouse Allan (Henrietta) Beck.
Ruth was a registered medical technologist who made a lasting impact through her work in healthcare. Her commitment to her profession touched the lives of many, and her legacy of caring for others will be remembered fondly.

In addition to her career, Ruth was a passionate lover of cats. Her feline companions brought her great joy and comfort throughout her life. She had a knack for creativity, expressed through her various crafts and jewelry making. Her creations were a testament to her artistic spirit and love of beauty.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, a cause that was close to Ruth's heart. Your contributions will honour her memory and support the important work of this organization.

Ruth Muriel George will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle presence, warm heart, and enduring love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
