Obituary of Ruth Beach
BEACH, Ruth (nee Overholt)Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019, just 20 days shy of her 95th birthday. A lifelong resident of Wainfleet/Port Colborne; Ruth was predeceased by her husband Jim (1987). She is survived by her children Laurie (Dan) Doherty, Nancy (Ron) Levere, Dennis (Veronica), Doug (Diana), and David (Kristin). She will be lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sisters Jean and Ann, sisters-in-law Marilynn and Tillie, several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Much appreciation to Brenda, Louise and Katrina of CCAC, the wonderful care from the 6th floor staff at the Welland Hospital, Kim and Bridges Port Colborne staff. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1p.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 123 King St, Port Colborne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations given to Niagara Action for Animals, McKay School Breakfast Club (Port Colborne), or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by Ruth's family. Mrs Beach was always gracious and kind when as teenagers we were planning our social life. You could tell that she knew when we were up to no good, but yet, she was patient and trusting. I’m sure she was well aware of how much her family and friends loved her – she’ll be missed here and greeted by more loved ones where she is headed….wonderful woman. My condolences to the family.
