In Loving Memory of

Ronald Villeneuve

1937-2020

Obituary of Ronald Villeneuve

We are sad to announce the passing of Ronald Villeneuve, much loved husband of Eleanor, father of Francine and grandfather of Aaron. Ron died peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2020, at Gilmore Lodge, where he spent the last two and half years of his life in the loving care of their dedicated staff. Ron will be deeply missed by his six sisters; Jeannine, Louise, Anne-Marie, Diane, Yvonne and Carole, and his sisters-in-law Elizabeth, Jane and Michele, all of whom loved him very much. He was predeceased by his sister Denise and his brother Claude.

After a career at The Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa, Ron and his wife moved to Niagara to enjoy country life and to indulge his love of horses and to cheer on Francine, in her long and successful racing career. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Due to restrictions imposed by Covid, a small private memorial service will be held. In Ron’s memory, donations to Gilmore Lodge Auxiliary will be gratefully accepted. Online condolences may be shared on Ronald's tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com.

I worked with Ron at the mint in the late 70s and early 80s. He was such a pleasant person.
