Obituary of Roman Kral
Roman Kral, passed away just shy of his 71st birthday at Douglas Memorial Hospital. He leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a profound impact on all who knew him. He shared an unbreakable bond of 43 years with his best friend and forever companion, Dawn. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, creating a lifetime of treasured moments.Roman was a devoted father to Anthony (Maria), William, Christopher (Patricia), and Nichole. He took great pride in their accomplishments and offered unwavering support throughout their lives. As a grandfather, Roman delighted in the presence of his five grandchildren, Chanel (Quinn), Arden, Chase, Michael Anthony, and Jason. He also had the privilege of being a great-grandfather to Gianna, Lorenzo, and Solomon, who held a special place in his heart. Roman was the brother of Irene (Christopher) and Regina (Marion), and the late Bolesaw. He was a caring uncle to Margaret (Tino) and her children, Julia and Daniel. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law, Bill (Annie), and Paul (Vicki), and his nephew Boz.
An avid boater, Roman found solace and tranquility on the water. He cherished family gatherings, where he would bring his cooler filled with treats, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Roman's presence will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at GNGH and Douglas Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thank you goes to Dr. Ghaly, Dr. Goodarzi, Dr. Acosa, Dr. Rowani, Dr. Rohani, Dr. Amerti, Nurse Raisa from Unit D, Nurse Margaret at GNGH, Nurse Barbara from Douglas Memorial, and the EMS 1st responders for their unwavering support. The family would also like to thank the neighbours and friends, you know who you are. In accordance with Roman's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced in due time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, causes that were close to Roman's heart.
