While holding the hands of his beloved family, Bob passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the Port Colborne Hospital, at the age of 81. Our condolences to the Spark family. Jim and I are very sorry to learn about Bob’s passing. Even though I was his distant 2nd cousin, I never knew Bob as I grew up. I connected with him as an adult. We enjoyed our chance visits on our walks, at the Fonthill Bandshell concerts or elsewhere and occasionally we e-mailed one another re our family heritage. We are sorry for your loss. I wish I had spent more time with Bob but am grateful for the time that we shared. I’ve attached a photo of Bob at one of our Spark family gatherings on 2011. Sandy (Spark) Stokes

I’m sorry to hear about Bob’s passing.I met him in grade 1 at the Quaker road school then again at JC Ball and then Pelham high and I remember many summer days down at the gathering area by the diving board on Welland canal where Bob and others would meet

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad, Bob. There was always mischief in his eyes and heart. He was always up for a prank.

We have many great memories of our time spent together. Our thoughts go out to you Bob, your family, Mary Spark and Gail Keith.

Sincerely, Al Barrett and family

Sparky has been a good friend since our days in the 50’s at PDHS. Back then he was our school “Fonzie”- a dude with “tude” …but loveable! We will miss him.

The Bob Spark that we all know and love was a good guy and a dear friend to many. The Resch family enjoyed a close relationship with him despite the many miles that separated us. We have a *HIS*tory. Bob and Jerry were childhood buddies who stayed in touch for more than 70+ years. They often reminisced about their youth—like the time they took all day to hitchhike from Welland to Effingham to pick cherries—earning a whole $3.00 between them. They also originated “job sharing,” trading shifts pumping gas at the corner Sunoco station…no self-serve back then! Swimming in the canal, recollections of their old neighbourhood, etc., great stories and memories. Kind and caring, Bob’s sensitive nature was easily detected although sometimes well disguised! We’ve had some great times with the Sparks—deep conversations and laughed out loud often. Bob has left us too early, but he carved a notch in our hearts while he was here. Our sincere condolences to Bob’s immediate family, neighbours, Masonic members, and many pals—four-legged ones included. 🙂

Fond memories of Bob. He was always there to help with the Pelham High School Reunions and then there were his Pole-Vaulting skills. Rest in peace. Gord Clare

Dear Bobby and Family. We are saddened to hear of Uncle Bob’s passing. I will never forget the time he hid behind Gramma Jeans car at Morgan’s Point and jumped out at me in the dark making a hissing and spraying sound like a skunk. Of course I was frightened and scared but boy did Uncle Bob laugh and laugh. May you remember the memories you had with your dad, grandpa and friend. Rest in Peace Uncle Bob!!!

In your loss I feel bound with you in grief for Bob was my dearest friend.
I spoke with Bob the day before he passed, and reminded him of all the good times we shared. It seemed to cheer him up.
Please give Gail my sincerest sympathy.
