In Loving Memory of
Robert Lee Woodley
1982-2020
Obituary of Robert Lee Woodley
Our hearts are broken as we had to say goodbye to Rob, who passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at the age of 38. First love and devoted partner for over 17 years to Naomi Curley. Forever cherished by his parents Robert “Bob” and Gail Woodley, and father-in-law Jim Clark. Caring father of R.J. Sheldrick and loving brother to Sean. Rob is survived by his grandparents: Lois and Ron Cameron-Clattenburg, and Lola Woodley. Dear nephew of: Sandy and Jim Santry, Brenda and Steve Kortash, Lynn and Martin Cameron, Diane King, Susan Woodley and Kit Matheson, Lee Woodley, Kelly and Dave Jones. Rob will be greatly missed and remembered by many cousins, extended family, best friend Bryan Waindubence, and especially by his furry family members: Ares, Xena, Lexus and Chance (which all happen to be Rob’s favourite, Pugs!) Rob has been reunited with his grandfathers, Thomas Ray Cameron and Robert J.K. Woodley, and also with his mother-in-law, Doriel Clark who would have greeted Rob with a big hug and a cup of tea.We will remember Rob by his precious smirk and warm smile, not to mention all the memories of his quick-witted and humorous personality. Also known as “Auto Man”, Rob’s favourite pastime was anything about cars. Whether he was watching NASCAR or going to the races, especially with his family in Ohsweken; these were moments he truly cherished in his life. He loved video games (Xbox and PlayStation). He always exceeded at playing them and would always beat Naomi at all the race car games. Rob met Naomi just as she was finishing high school. He brought her on her first date to the movies, and as the years unfolded, their lives would center around each other and their families.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A private family gathering will be held, followed by cremation. Family and friends will be invited to an interment and Celebration of Rob’s Life at a later date, when it is safe to have gatherings. Memorial donations may be given to CASON- Community Addiction Services of Niagara. Online condolences may be shared on Rob’s tribute page found at EssentialsNiagara.com
