Obituary of Robert 'Bob' Lee Jarvis

It is with broken hearts and countless warm memories that we announce the passing of Bob Jarvis on January 24, 2025 at the Welland Hospital. Bob was a loving husband of 38 years to Mary Jane, an amazing father and closest friend to his daughter, Savannah Anoquot-Smith (Josh), and his sons, Jesse Jarvis (Rebecca) and Robert Jarvis (Julia). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Quinn, Piper, Riley, and Noah who adored him beyond measure and often reminded him that he was their greatest love. Bob was anticipating the arrival of another granddaughter this March.

Born and raised in Chippawa on October 13, 1958, Bob was the cherished son of the late Emmett and Marion Jarvis. He was predeceased by his sister, Kim, and is lovingly remembered by his siblings Debbie, Danny, Crissy and their families. Bob was a treasured brother-in-law to Ray (predeceased), Linda, Carol, Paul, Barb (Randy), Terry (Bob), Lori, Lisa, and their families. He held a special bond with his six godchildren, whom he loved and cared for as his own. Bob left a lasting impression on everyone he met, admired for his bravery, determination, and remarkable strength. His unwavering devotion to his family will remain an enduring part of his legacy.

To us, Bob was more than a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he was the man, the myth, the legend. His presence in our lives was a gift, and his love will forever be felt and never forgotten. Bob has now gone to join his Creator and the angels, leaving us with a legacy of love that will live on in our hearts forever.

Cremation has taken place and Bob will be resting at Fairview Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to join Bob’s family for a Celebration of Life which will be held at the Chippawa Legion on Saturday, February 1st from 12pm - 4pm. In memory of Bob, donations to Toronto Sick Kids would be greatly appreciated by his family.

Rest in peace, Bob. Our love for you knows no bounds.

Dear Mary Jane and Family
Having been a friend and nieghbor of the Jarvis family on Furlong Avenue for over 60 years it saddens all three of Hunter girls to learn of Bobby’s passing. He would sometimes stop to laugh and smile with Dad in the driveway which made him happy. Bob was very respectful of seniors. We know he will be missed. Condolences to all of you and may he rest in peace.

Mary Jane and family, We were so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. My husband and he were childhood friends in Chippawa and I caught up with him at the hospital and had many great visits reminiscing about the old days. He was just as I remembered him from years ago! Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
