Obituary of Robert "Bob" Duhamel

Passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was the beloved husband of Sharon (nee Bolus), whom he lovingly called "Mutt." Words cannot describe how much he loved his family. Bob was a proud Dad and a One-of-a-Kind amazing Papa. Known to many as "Antique Bob" or "Deja vu Bob," he was a man who took sincere interest in all who he met and befriended in life and in business, leaving an indelible mark on so many lives. His passion for antiques and collectibles was legendary. His business, Deja vu Antiques and Collectibles on Highway 20, was a treasure trove of goodies where he made so many great friends over the last 30 years of business. Bob was a prankster at heart, always ready with a mischievous smile and a twinkle in his eye. His sense of humour brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to share in his company. Beyond his mischievous spirit, Bob will be remembered for his unwavering honesty and integrity. Bob touched the lives of many. A very special thank you to his wonderful Palliative Nursing team, Colleen, Trina and Jocelyn. Your care and compassion for Bob was incredible. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 21, 2023, at Amici's, 2740 Merrittville Hwy, Fonthill from 4pm-7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Dear Sharon and family. I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. My son Jarrett and I first met Bob in his store in 2014. There was instant connnection and friendship right from the start. Always a friendly hello and time to talk antiques and fair with his prices. Bob was so nice to the children giving them a small toy or doll. I and Jarrett will surely miss him. We will cherish the time we had with him. Thinking of you all.
