Obituary of Ricky Charles Stevens
After an evening spent with his family, Ricky passed away in his home, on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the age of 57. He was a proud and devoted family man who will be immensely missed and forever loved by his lifelong companion, Sandy, his daughters Kori, Shaylea and step-daughter, Sonia. Adored Papa of Nevaeh, Kyra, Ayla, Audrey, Harlem and Eli. Dearest brother of Donna and Eugene. Ricky has been reunited with his parents Marie and Richard, and with his brother Garth.
The world has undoubtedly lost the most devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Through all the years, his loyalty towards The Leafs Nation never wavered. He would always cheer on his team, each and every game. Family and friends will remember Ricky for his gentle and kind spirit, for being quick-witted and as a man of faith. In his own way, he lived a simple life and was always content, so long as his morning started off on the right foot, with his large, 1 and a half cream, Tim Hortons coffee. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A special thank you to Megan from St. Elizabeth for her compassionate care and support. In accordance with Ricky’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A celebration of his life will be held at a later time when family and friends can safely gather.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Niagara.
John 14: 1-7 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
