Obituary of Rickey "Rick" Adams
Of Welland, passed away at home on September 30th, 2023 at the age of 66. He is the son of the late Kenneth and the late Isabel Adams. Rick is survived by his daughters, Candace (Heather), Tanya (Fadi), his brother, Kevin (Jean), nieces, nephews, as well as Ruth and her family. Predeceased by his sister, Karen, and brothers Carl (Rose), and Kerry (Patricia).Rick had a lifelong fondness of electronics, through electrical work in the trades and creatively as a musician. Playing in bands with his siblings and friends, being outside in natural environments, and painting and drawing were his passions.
Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Burial and Cremation in Welland and Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Welland Arena Community Hall. 501 King St., Welland, on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 2pm-5pm for those who would like to share closure and memories. Private family Inurnment will take place at Fonthill Cemetery. Donations can be made on Rick’s behalf to The Willow Arts Community, who provide low-barrier arts education for people with living experience of mental illness or substance use in Niagara.

Would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Adam’s family in the loss of Rick. I worked and hung around with Rick back in the CanEng day. Considered him a good friend.
Rick was my best friend all through grade school.. He lived 2 doors away and we played outside til the street lights came on. He helped get me going with playing guitar, and I went to many of his band “Hydra’s” gigs. Condolences to Kevin and the family.
