Obituary of Richard Robert Ashmore
The Ashmore family sadly announces the passing of Rick on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, in his 71st year. His two-year battle with esophageal cancer was fought with bravery and dignity.
Rick will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda (nee Davis) and by their twin sons, Aaron (Zoë) and Shawn (Dana). His grandchildren Esmé, Oliver and Margot held a special place in his heart. Rick was predeceased by his father Robert Ashmore and mother Shirley Jagtiani. He is survived by his beloved sister Laurie-Lee Anderson, brother-in-law Jack and nieces Robyn and Devon.
Rick had a storybook career in the floor covering industry, as he started on the order desk in 1973 and worked his way from sales to management. Rick and Linda's 50 year love of travel, took them around the world, maintaining special friendships to this day.
