Obituary of Ravi Srivastava

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ravi Srivastava, who left us on Wednesday August 28, 2024 at the age of 64. Ravi, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, was known for his boundless energy, positive spirit and unwavering dedication to both his family and his work.

Ravi immigrated from India to Canada in 2018 with a vision and a dream. He poured his heart into establishing a vibrant culinary and cultural presence, opening five successful restaurants: The Indian Aroma (2 locations), Taash, The Ice Cream Shop and Hummus and Tartar, thriving even through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. His entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to business were a testament to his remarkable drive and hands-on work ethic.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ravi was a man of passion and warmth. He loved learning and enjoyed spending time with his family, always bringing joy and laughter into their lives. His enthusiasm extended to his love for carpentry, a hobby that showcased his creative talents. Ravi's infectious humor and sociable nature made him a cherished friend and a beloved member of the community.

Ravi has been reunited with his parents Om and Dr. Shakuntla Srivastava and his loyal 4 legged companion Candy (2024). Ravi was the devoted husband to Kamini "Mini" for 39 years, loving father to Taru Ranjan (Abhishek) and Pallav (Shubhi), adored Nanu to Pia and Ansh. His remarkable work ethic and generous spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Cremation will take place. A private family service will be held in Ravi's honor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. If desired, the family requests donations to Niagara Dog Rescue or Humane Society of Greater Niagara in memory of Ravi’s.

Ravi will be profoundly missed but forever remembered for his vibrant spirit, his dedication to his family, and his contributions to the community.
