Obituary of Peter Christopher Smyth
Peter Christopher Smyth passed away peacefully at Henley House in St. Catharines on November 20, 2024, at the age of 61. Born in Dublin, Ireland, on October 27, 1963, Peter moved to Canada at the age of six and grew up in St. Catharines.He is predeceased by his former spouse, Claudette Smyth, his parents, Robert and Rita Smyth, his brother Martin, and his brother-in-law George O'Connor. He is survived by his siblings: Laura Corbett (Bill), Margaret O'Connor, Elizabeth Burns (Jim), Robert Smyth (Jo-Anne), and Karen Smyth (Steve Crew), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Peter worked in many roles throughout his life, including as a cook, taxi driver, and bookkeeper. He enjoyed Tim Horton’s coffee and Lynyrd Skynyrd was his favourite band. A loyal Boston Bruins fan, Peter was known for his sense of humor, dry wit, and polite nature.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Henley House for the wonderful care they provided over the last two years.
In accordance with Peter's wishes, cremation has taken place, and arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.

Sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. I knew him when he was married to my SIL Claudette.
Sadly Claudette passed before him June or July, 2023!
Will miss you Peter, enjoyed our conversations when you were up on Woodend. It was a pleasure to get to know you. At least you are pain free now. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Hugs 🙏❤️
