Obituary of Peter Kmety
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Peter on May 5, 2023, at the age of 59. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Adam, and his sister Mary Lou. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Adam (Carla), Al (Laura), Brian, and Paul, as well as his nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews.Peter was born in Welland and lived in Niagara Falls for the last 27 years. He was a longtime, dedicated employee of both Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino.
Peter had a passion for hockey and was a talented player. He also had a great love for cooking. However, what truly defined Peter was his kind and generous nature. He was a big-hearted friend to many, and he will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

My sympathies to everyone in Pete’s family..Pete was a great friend and would do anything for anyone..had a lot of good times together over the yrs…everyone knew who Pete was cuz of his big heart…my father use to call him casino Pete and Pete always looked after my dad at the casino…that’s how much of a great man he was….R.I.P. my friend…gonna miss ya buddy

My deepest condolences to the Kmety family,I’ve know Pete since Welland High days, he had a good sense if humor and wit. I was a surprise to see he moved to the Falls also and had many of the same friends during his time here. I will miss him dearly, I’m sure that he will be a great guardian angel to many. Pete has been a friend since our teen years. We had a lot of good times and many laughs over the years. We worked together for over 22 years. I will surely miss Pete, May he Rest In Peace. My condolences to Adam, Al, Brian and Paul.
