Obituary of Peter Donald Longhurst

Peter Longhurst was called home and went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the age of 79. He was predeceased and has been reunited with his brother Kenneth and parents Harvey and Ella. Peter is survived by his loving wife Eva, son Earl (Heather), grandchildren, Alexandra Longhurst (Adam Welke), Eric Longhurst, Nena Boyd and also by his great-grandchildren Isaac, Kyra, Isabelle, Mikayla, Makenna, Aiden.

Peter dedicated 35 years to Hayes Dana Canada before retiring. In his early years, he achieved the prestigious status of Queen Scout, a source of pride for him. Beyond his professional achievements, Peter will be remembered as a person of faith, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.

In accordance with Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will take place at Scott Street Church, 339 Scott Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, December 2, 2023. A visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by a service at 11:00am. A luncheon will follow. Peter was not a dress up kind of guy, so please feel free to dress casually and join us as we remember the special man Peter was to us.
