Obituary of Paul (Skip) Douglas Feduck

With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Paul "Skip" Feduck on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Hamilton General Hospital with his family by his side. He was 85 and lived a wonderful life, filled with love. He has been reunited with his parents Paul and Katherin (née Zypanski). He was the beloved soul mate to Margie Feduck (née Greeff), devoted father to Brad (Tracy) and Michael (Eunice) and step-father to Colin (Julie), Wayne and Gary, loving Papa of Sullivan, Carter, Hayden, Sophie, Kieran, Joel, Josh and Chloe and honorary father of Alexis (Donald) and grandpa of Dorian, Novalee, Dionis (Cameron) and great grandpa of Kai. He will be terribly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins but especially by his niece Mary and cousin Amy.

Paul was one of 13 siblings in a close-knit family, raised with love and a strong sense of community.

A proud Navy veteran, Paul loved his time serving but was perhaps best known for his deep passion for life at home. He spent many years nurturing his property, where he could often be found riding his beloved tractor lawnmower or woodworking in his workshop. An accomplished oil painter and saxophonist, Paul’s talents extended far beyond the everyday, and he had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him.

Paul's true gift, however, was his ability to connect with people, especially children. He shaped the lives of many in his community, with kids often preferring his company over toys, drawn to his wisdom, comforting nature, and infectious humor. He had a knack for pushing people’s buttons, particularly his wife Margie’s, though their 25 years of marriage were filled with love, respect, and a remarkable lack of conflict. He built their home by hand, a testament to his determination and skill.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls. A celebration of Skip's life will be held in 2025.

A special thank you to the staff of the CCU at Hamilton General Hospital for their compassionate care of both Skip and Margie. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Skip, donations may be made to the CCU at Hamilton General Hospital in honour of Kangaroo Kampus School of Music for Kids, an organization close to his heart.
