Obituary of Joseph Leonard “PAUL” Noonan
With the room full of LOVE, Joseph Leonard “PAUL” Noonan, touched our Hearts for the very last time.Dad was our hero and role model. He was dedicated to our happiness showing us patience, understanding and unlimited love to his Wife and Soulmate Barbara (nee Halliday) of 63 years. He will be missed by his children Greg (Sheila), Debbie (Brian) Van Gelder and Paula (Rob) Karas. One Proud “PAPA” to his grandkids with whom they shared many cherished memories.... delivering school lunches, babysitting, Florida trips, sporting events, Graduations, and handy-man tips.... and will be profoundly missed by Robyne (Nathan), Brenda (Elias), Aaron (Courtney), Cole (Brittney) and Drew. His Great Grand-Boys touched his heart on another level in his later years. His gentle smile and warm touch he showed for Bentley, Leo and Kios. Born in P.E.I. to the late Russell and Ruth (McKenna) Noonan. Survived by sisters, Leona Lafferty, Eleanor (Sandy) Pollard, Nora Rogers and brother-in-law Leo Smith. Predeceased by his siblings Anne (James) Duffy, John (Sheila) Marilyn Smith, Philip (Lorraine) Noonan and Michael as well as Brothers-in-law Leonard Lafferty, James Rogers. Dad will lovingly be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Dad was a dedicated employee (supervisor) at GM from 1963-1992. He was always so proud to say “I’ve never missed a day of work”. After retirement mom and dad spent 18 years enjoying the Florida sun every winter! Where they made many Lifelong friendships. In accordance with his wishes Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Canada in dads name would be much appreciated.
