Obituary of Paul David Samuel
Paul SamuelJanuary 3, 1937 – December 29, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Samuel, who peacefully departed this life on December 29, 2024, at the Meadows of Dorchester in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Born in Toronto, Ontario, on January 3, 1937, Paul was the beloved son of the late Saul and Marguerite Samuel.
Paul leaves behind his cherished wife of 40 years, Betty (White), his children, Jorden and Marla (Sean) Samuel, and his adored grandchildren, Max Samuel Burke and Ben Samuel Burke. He will also be fondly remembered by Vince and Nancy White for their unwavering help and support, and by many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his brother Mort Samuel, his nephew Howard Samuel, and other loved ones who held a special place in his heart.
A heartfelt thank-you is extended to the compassionate PSWs from Bayshore and Home Instead, whose exceptional care and kindness provided comfort to Paul in his final years.
Paul was a devoted sports enthusiast, an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, and enjoyed countless conversations about sports with his dear friend Leslie Sharpe. A man of many passions, Paul was the proud owner of Effingham Hills Antiques, where he brought a unique charm to the antique world.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be deeply appreciated by Paul’s family.
