In Loving Memory of
Patrick Leslie Sullivan
1952 ~ 2023
Obituary of Patrick Leslie Sullivan
After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Pat was peacefully called home to Jesus on February 4, 2023 at Douglas Memorial Hospital as his loving family surrounded him with comfort. He is survived by Christine (née Rehaume), his devoted wife of 51 years, loving children Amy Cameron (John), Christopher Sullivan, Mary Sullivan, and cherished grandchildren Maddyne Sullivan and Lauryn Cameron. Pat will also be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law Marilyn Latour, Lorraine Parker and Celine Hill (Cal). He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and by his circle of loyal and supportive friends.
Pat owned and operated 2 Guys Autobody in Fort Erie for many years. He meticulously restored and customized vintage cars utilizing his boundless technical and creative skills. This was his passion, it was never a career. Pat loved to tinker and was known by all as "the Fixer". He could repair just about anything! He loved working with his hands whether it was restoring cars, doing home renovations, or weeding the garden. Pat loved broken and dilapidated things because he saw what they could become. He envisioned his family in much the same way, guiding his children by his words and example to be the best they could be. He was so very proud of them in every way.
In his younger days Pat played hockey, and later was the assistant coach for a local team. He also enjoyed watching hockey games, always cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was an avid history buff and especially enjoyed WWII documentaries. He was a man who "knew a little about a lot of things". Pat was an amazing husband, a wonderful father, a fun grandpa, and a reliable friend. The world is certainly dimmer now without his light in it.
The family would like to thank Dr. Claudius Che, Dr. Kim Scher, the palliative homecare team, and all of the Douglas Memorial Hospital staff for their excellent care, compassion, and kindness. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A celebration to honour the life that Pat lived will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Bridgewater Country Club, located at 700 Gilmore Road in Fort Erie, beginning at 3:00 p.m. If desired, donations in memory of Pat may be made to The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, and would be appreciated by his family.

Our (Elberlyn, Calan, Émilie and myself) deepest condolences to you, aunt Christine and Amy, Christopher and Mary on the passing of uncle Pat. I really looked up to him and admired his skills and kindness. I can only imagine how many wonderful memories you must have to carry forward with you. May you all find peace ahead. ❤️
Pat was a man of strength and kindness. He had a great sense of humor and was a loving husband to his wife Christine and 3 children, Amy, Christopher and Mary! His skills in automotive repairs and renewing old cars was amazing. He was “the best” in every imaginable way. I could go on and on and it would all be good. Dear Pat, you were a good friend to me, your sister-in-law and I will never, ever forget you and your kindness and loving ways.
My heartfelt condolences Chris to you and your family. Praying God will give you comfort and peace as you go through this difficult time. ❤️
I was lucky to call him my uncle. I have so many wonderful and happy memories growing up with uncle Pat in my life. My heart goes out to you all as you grieve together. Love to all of you!
During my teen years, I was never far from wherever you might find Amy. Because of our friendship, Mr. Sullivan became like a dad to me as well. My heart is heavy and my thoughts are with all of you as you lean on each other this week. Sending you so much love and light over the coming days as you process this loss. Love you guys!
I am so lucky to have had an Uncle like Pat. When I was a young kid, he would take me to the drag races and car shows and to see cars that he had been working on. These are great memories that I will never forget. I will miss him.
Pat was a true friend and always had a smile on his face. Pat was considered part of our family. He always made you feel good and was always a pleasure being around. You left us too soon our dear friend and you will be truly missed.
