Obituary of Patrick (Buck) Gobel
Born October 28th 1951, Buck passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family after a short but very courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 72 on November 18th 2023. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Patricia Gobel, In laws Roy and Doris McIntee as well as his brother-in-law John Fraser. He is survived by his wife Cheryl of 41 years, his 2 beautiful daughters Ashley (Brian K) and Briar (Ryan H) as well as 2 adorable grandsons Bryce and Jaxson. He is also survived by his sisters Cathy Fraser (Danny) and Margaret Sisler (Norman), 5 nephews, 1 niece and many loving cousins.Buck was an avid hunter and angler for most of his life. His greatest enjoyment throughout his life was spent Moose hunting in Kapuskasing with his closest hunting buddies as well as many many years hunting for deer and turkey around the Niagara region.
The family would like to thank his care team and send out a special and sincerest thanks to Patrick's palliative care nurse Christopher. We are eternally grateful for everything you have done for us, this handshakes for you from him and us!
Cremation has taken place and has been entrusted to Essentials Cremations in Niagara Falls. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Walker Family Cancer Center in St. Catharines in memory of Patrick.
