Obituary of Patricia "Pat" Gail Thomas
Patricia Thomas (née McNeil) passed peacefully just 9 days after turning 72, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 with her sons by her side, as they shared stories and played their mom’s favourite songs.Pat has been reunited with her parents Barney and Ada, brother Bryan McNeil and sister Jean Cardilli. She leaves behind her devoted spouse Jack Kyle, her loving sons Kenny Thomas (Cathy) and Robbie Thomas, her adored grandchildren, Emily, McKenna, Justice and Jason, Jack's caring children, Jackelyn Murray (John), Kayelyn Courchesne, Tammie Kyle (Ian), Shelley Kyle and John Kyle (Kim) and their children and grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by her dear siblings Rob McNeil (Deb), Gord McNeil (Lynn), Donna Stevens (the late Wally Stevens), George McNeil (Kim), Julie McNeil (Rob) and her brother-in-law Lou Cardilli as well as many, many nieces and nephews.
Pat shared a special bond with her sons Kenny and Robbie. They built countless memories at the arena, dressing up for Halloween, and many cherished family traditions that will live on in their hearts. She will be lovingly remembered as someone who always put others first and treasured every moment spent with her family. Pat was her brother Gord’s biggest fan, as he performed Elvis, her laughter and joy lit up every gathering. She found happiness in simple pleasures — a good game of bingo, a lively round of Romoli, and countless evenings of fun and laughter around the table with loved ones. Pat shared many wonderful years with her beloved Jack, enjoying chatting with one another, scenic drives, and visits with family that meant the world to her. A devoted Panthers fan, she was always quick to remind the Leafs fans in her life who had the upper hand — a friendly rivalry that brought endless smiles and playful banter. Her warmth, humour, and generous spirit will be forever missed.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society and would be appreciated by the family.
