Obituary of Patricia (Pat) Keeley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Pat Keeley on December 14, 2024, at the age of 86. Pat was the beloved wife and best friend of 67 years to George. She was a loving mother to Allen (Michelle), Wayne (Laurie), Sandra (the late Drew), and Sharon (Michael), and a cherished Nana to Jamie-Leigh, Carolyn, Caleb, Dillon, Amie, and Rachel. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom. Pat was predeceased by her siblings.

Born in England, Pat and George immigrated to Canada in 1957, eventually settling in Ontario, where they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Pat worked for over 20 years in the bakery department at Food City. A talented cook and baker, Pat was renowned for her Yorkshire puddings, mince pies, and beautifully crafted cakes. Pat’s creativity extended beyond the kitchen; she also enjoyed ceramics. In her earlier years, she loved her daily walks and bike rides. She and George shared a passion for travel, exploring the world together and especially treasuring their time in Puerto Vallarta.

Known for her outgoing personality, Pat had the remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went. Her warm heart and generous spirit were evident in her volunteer work throughout the years with the Salvation Army and Big Sisters of Niagara.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Niagara EMS for their care and compassion. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
