In Loving Memory of
Paolo “Paul” Ferrusi
1941-2021
Obituary of Paolo “Paul” Ferrusi
Peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021, Paul was called to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus. He will be forever loved by his wife Josephine (nee Iudiciani). A loving and devoted father of: Christina (Max) Prokhorov, Paul (Tara, nee Wright) Ferrusi, Terry Ferrusi, Paula (Richard) Greer, Tony (Kerri) Ferrusi. A fun and playful Grandpa of Aria, Sofia, Aiden, Jonathan, Austin, Nevaeh, Isaiah, Larry, Allissa Sowden, Cooper, Carson, Felicia (Robert), Noah Ferrusi, and Great-Grandpa of Jaxson and Myla.He was the cherished son of Francisco and Bambina (nee Colangelo) Ferrusi. Paolo was the dear brother of Vincenza (the late Salvatore) Zavarella , Filomena (the late Mario) Policella, Mary (Concezio) Ventresca, Rose (John) DiNunzio, and Dominic (Karen Thompson). He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Paul’s legacy will bring great comfort and loving memories to his family. Throughout his life, he was a great provider and a hard worker. He built his home for his family to grow in. We always felt secure and never had to worry. Paul dedicated many years to his career working for Welland Tubes. His favourite times were spent with his children and grandchildren, fishing, camping, woodworking, making wine and of course enjoying the occasional trip to the casino.
He had a funny and playful disposition, and the greatest attribution to his life’s pride and joy was his family. We are so proud of our father and we are at peace knowing that he is resting, and that one day we will see him again.
A special thank you to Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care and support that they provided to our dad in his final days.
In accordance with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A gathering with his family will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to Hospice Niagara, or to a crowdfunding effort through the funeral home, to help assist a family in need of financial support towards funeral costs.
Thank you to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for blessing our lives with Paul. Until we meet again.
