Obituary of Sue Hinton

Peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022, we said goodbye to our beautiful and vibrant mom, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. Sue passed away in her home surrounded by her family and was in her 62nd year. As a mother, she was loving and protective. She will forever be loved by her children Brandon Collucci and Kendra Collucci (Randy Johnston).

She was "Good Grandma" to Anthony, Karsyn, Owen and Lynkin; who made her unbelievably proud and she would be sure to tell everyone about them! Sue will be remembered as a genuine and caring sister of Jennifer Hinton and Jason (Marlene) Hinton and their children, Sam and Andrew. She was survived by her dear stepmother Clara.

Her friendship will be missed beyond measure by her friends, both Autumns, Krystal, Rose, Jamie, Adam, Peggy and many others that she cherished deeply. Not to forget to mention the apple of her eye, her adoring dog Coco-Nut, who will also miss her greatly. She has been reunited with her beloved parents Roy and Margaret.

As Sue's family reflected upon their special memories and the qualities that made her "unique", smiles appeared on their faces as they knew right away that she was one of a kind. Sue was a wild child at heart, and she loved it that way because it kept her young and energetic. You would often find her dancing around her home, busting a move to her favourite song, Dance Monkey. Being home was her favourite place and spending time with her family brought her the greatest joy as they were all the center of her world.

A special thank you to Dr. Yelamanchili for trying everything that could be done for our mom and to the Palliative Care EMS Paramedic team who promptly came and helped her and our family.

In accordance with Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Sue's life which will be held at Kendra's home on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 1-4pm with special words of remembrance being shared at 2pm. In memory of Sue, memorial donations may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society.

In loving memory of Sue

"One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome
times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed
You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
