Comfortably and peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and best friend Bo, Carl passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the age of 88. He was a beloved husband for 38 years "side by each", to Patricia (née Greenawalt). A fun, loving and generous father, who instilled respect and appreciation for good old fashioned values and hard work, to Barbara (John) Eade-Stainsby, Linda O'Brien (Neil McFadyen), Terry MacIsaac, and Gail (Warren) Dunn. Cherished Grandpa of Kailee (Dean), Kara (Zach), Kelsey (Alex), Ken (Fallon), Brendan (Liz), Connor (Kintara), Brynne (Duncan), Matthew (Fleur), and great-grandfather of Austin and Isabel. He will be remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Brenda (Danny) Gordon, Rick (Wendy) Greenawalt, Sharon (Peter) Pullano, Judy Roulley, Danny (Tammy) Greenawalt, Glenn Greenawalt and Grace Greenawalt. Carl was survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents Eva and Oscar Eade, brothers Don and Ken, sister Verna Bradnam, brothers-in-law Michael Greenawalt, Steven Greenawalt and Bob Roulley.
Carl was a lead hand at General Motors in St. Catharines where he worked until retirement in 1995. He was a former member of the Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen's Association and a life member of the Saxton Sportmen's Club. Carl will be remembered as a jack of all trades. He enjoyed building things from ice rinks to his own home. He also enjoyed playing baseball, travelling throughout the United States and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
