Obituary of Nikolays "Nick" Stoev

Nikolays Stoev, born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1966, unexpectedly passed away at St. Catharines General Hospital, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. His sudden passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Nick was a loving son, brother, and a cherished uncle. Surviving him is his father, Kiril Stoev, sister Iliana (Ivo), niece Elitza, nephew Nick, and a few cousins, Atanas, Vili, George, Svetla, along with his extended family in Bulgaria.

Nick, along with his parents, ventured to Canada in 1989, eventually settling in Niagara. For the last 12 years, Nick was a hard worker and he found joy and fulfillment in his work at Ruth's Chris Steak House. There, he not only excelled professionally but also cultivated meaningful experiences with people from around the world, he also created an extended family. He will be deeply missed by his Ruth's Chris family, espcially those close friends Jason, Shari, Penny, Theresa, Kim, and all of their families.

Nick’s caring nature extended to exceptional devotion to his parents, and he faced immense sorrow with the passing of his mother, Violeta Stoeva, in 2020. In these challenging times, Jason Holmes and his family stood as pillars of support, guiding both Nick and now his father Kiril with unwavering friendship. A special thank you to Nick's friends who have the honour of being his pallbearers: Mike, Zoli, Damian, Christian, Dante and Jason. Krystal Riddell helped during the passing of Nick’s mother and has been instrumental in planning the final rest of our dear friend Nick.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private prayer and burial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, where Nick will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother. A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held for Nick’s family and friends on Sunday, November 26, 2023, starting at 2:30pm at Ruth's Chris Steak House, 6455 Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls.
