Obituary of Nick (Clinton) Morden

Passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022 at the age of 69. Nick was the loving husband of Heather for 45 years. Cherished father of Trevor (Tammy), Travis (Bonnie) and Brittany (Todd). Adored Grandpa to Paige, Keira, Logan, Emma, Kaleigh, Ayla, Cooper, Ivy, Kayden, Killian and Kaylar. Nick was the much loved brother to his six sisters: Lanette (the late Alex), Jennifer, Kathy (Bruce), Jill (Cecil), Penny (Dale) and Kristine. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Clinton and Janette.

Nick worked as an Overhead Crane Operator and Lab Technician at Pan Abrasives, where he retired from after 25 years of service. Nick will be remembered as a simple, modest man with a great sense of humour. He never wanted a fuss, and would worry about everyone else before himself. Nick was a wonderful cook, and making big meals for his family was something that always brought him joy. He had a passion for home projects, from building a pergola to a rock wall; he was always ready to challenge himself with something new. Nick also loved watching movies, drawing, and enjoying a good cup of coffee all throughout the day.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU nurses at the Welland Hospital as well as the staff at Walker Family Cancer Centre for their kindness and compassion.

In keeping with Nick's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Port Cares or to your local food bank. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-734-1031).

Saddened to read of Nick’s passing. I always remember Nick from Reebs Bay and the families helping each other out. Nick would set up a drum set in the yard and entertain everyone. Many find memories.
Prayers for family to find peace and comfort in the coming days weeks and months remembering all your happiness together with Nick.💖

My heart and prayers goes out to Heather,Trevor,Travis,Brittany and their families. There is a hole in our hearts as we remember all the wonderful times spent together. Uncle Nick was taken way too soon. He fought hard, now he’s no longer suffering and reunited with his parents. We will miss him dearly and cherish all of our fond memories over the years. He always made a person feel good about them selves with his words of encouragement, his humour was infectious and the love he had for his family was like no other. We always enjoyed our visits and we miss him so much. Rest in peace uncle Nick, Love Neena

My thoughts and sympathies are with you and the kids. Heather you and Nick were like my second parents all those years ago on Oakland Ave. Nick was always so soft spoken and kind and always insisted on walking me across Mrs. Bosaks lawn to my house whenever I babysat for you guys. I have such wonderful memories of him and will hold them close to my heart forever..
