Obituary of Nelson Hare
Sadly, we announce the peaceful passing of Nelson Hare on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at Eventide Nursing Home at the age of 86 years. He leaves behind his loving wife Janice (née Smith), his loving son Kevin, his dear brother Ken and sister Evelyn (Donny). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his extended family in Australia.A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Nelson began working at City Hall as a draftsman right out of highschool, a position he held with dedication until his retirement. His attention to detail and quiet diligence earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Nelson had a lifelong passion for photography, especially capturing the majesty of airplanes. As a devoted aviation enthusiast, he traveled to airshows across North America and built a remarkable collection of photographic slides—each one a testament to his love of flight and keen eye behind the lens.
In his later years, the simple joy of hearing “You Are My Sunshine” always brought a smile to his face, a small reflection of the light he brought into the lives of others.
A quiet and humble man whose warm sense of humor and kind spirit touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services in Niagara Falls.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Canada, Alzheimers Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation, in Nelson’s memory.

Janice, and family of Nelson Hare, deepest sympathy.
So sorry to hear of your husbands’ passing. So very sad for family and friends. I did not know the gentleman, but it sounds like he was a lovely, dedicated man in various aspects of his life.
Janice, so very soon now our God Jehovah will usher in the Kingdom Rule by his son. That Kingdom will bring the many promises our God has taught us about. Rev 21:3,4. As we wait, we will stand tall, we will keep our eyes fixed on a God who will never abandon us. Jehovah knows, Jehovah sees, and Jehovah will certainly bless us in the Paradise to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family at this difficult time.
