Obituary of Nancy Joan Muirhead
With great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Nancy Joan Muirhead (née Willms) on Saturday November 25, 2023 at the age of 76. She leaves behind her son Keith Siemens, granddaughter Alexandra Foster (Matt Bacon), great grandsons Carter and Wesley, grand-fur baby Wieler as well as many friends.Nancy was an adventurous person living in numerous places in British Columbia, living in Yukon where she found her love of gold. She then left for warmer climates; Cayman Islands, then Florida and eventually returned to Niagara. She grew up in Niagara-on-the-Lake on a fruit farm with her parents; Abe and Kay Willms, her brother Art and sister Shirley.
She worked in hospitality as a bartender which gave her the opportunity to travel and work. She loved socializing with customers and always had a story to tell and a big smile. She also owned a bartending school in Victoria, B.C. where she loved to teach mixology.
She loved her birds and became a big fan of rottweilers since she lived with her son who had two rottweilers, Luca and Wieler.
She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Greater Niagara Humane Society, a charity that was near and dear to Nancy’s heart.

Dear Keith and Ally & Family: This was such a shock to all of us. My heart goes out especially to Keith and Ally. This is such a difficult time to go through, but we must go through it. Remember her big smile and all the stories she loved to tell. She was a very social person from all her travels. Always enjoyed our times together even if they weren’t often.
GOD bless you all and I know your doggie is feeling the loss also. Take care of yourselves. There are brighter days ahead. She is out of her pain. Love Janice (Nana) xoxox
