In Loving Memory of
Nancy Charles
1961 - 2022
Obituary of Nancy Charles
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2022 at the age of 61. Nancy is survived by her husband, Wayne, and their five boys: Cody, Jackson, Conner, Tyler (Caryn) and Chris (Sarah). She was the cherished grandmother to Jade, Benjamin, Layla, Mason, Travis, Reagan and James. Lovingly remembered by her cousin Tammy Gleason and her best friend Jolene Hall. Nancy will be dearly missed by many cousins, friends and coworkers. Predeceased by her parents, Pat & Theresa Cianflone.Nancy worked as a Border Services Officer for 33 years, taking tremendous pride in her career and service to her country. She will be remembered for her warm nature, her fortitude, and for how she always went out of her way to make other people feel special. Nancy's home was a gathering place for birthdays and holidays, with nothing bringing her more joy than being surrounded by her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, and her speciality dish of her mom's pasta and sauce was always a big hit. The loves of Nancy's life were her children and grandchildren; there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. As a big fan of hockey, it brought Nancy such enjoyment to be able to watch her own kids play over the years. She will be missed beyond measure.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone who has supported Nancy over the last few years.

Sending love and hugs to Nancys family and friends during this time of loss. She was a wonderful, outspoken and strong willed woman. I’m so grateful to have had her guide me through parts of my life as a mother figure. Forever thankful for her presence in my life. Lots of love.
To Cody and family; our most sincere condolences to you all for your monumental loss of your dear mom. We are all thinking of you at this time. Kindest regards: Karen & Tom Cassells and family.
My deepest condolences, i worked with Nancy for a few years and I can say she was always so happy and laughing. She had a very vibrant personality and I enjoyed talking to her. I saw Nancy awhile back at a restaurant dining with her son… you could see what a wonderful connection they had.
Your humour and wit always brightened the day. I’ll cherish all the fun times we shared at work and great conversations. My deepest condolences to your family. Rest In Peace friend.
So sorry to hear of your loss Wayne, it’s been many years and I don’t think I knew Nancy; still it’s gotta be heartbreaking. I wish you and the boys all the best and will keep you in my thoughts. Went by the homestead on Walden the other day and couldn’t help but to remember the old days when we were kids and all the memories attached to the old neighbourhood and families. Best regards.
What a legacy she has left for this world. 5 sons!! And many grandchildren. I do not doubt she enjoyed them till the end and now will watch over from up above ! Sorry to see this strong lady move on too early. RIP , your cousin Suzy
Our sincere condolences to Wayne and family So very sad to hear about Nancy’s passing ????????
Nancy was the definition of a true friend, we shared many great times together, even when we attended work Christmas dinners and tried to behave but well…
Nancy and I could call each other and just say “bang” and we’d be laughing for hours!
I will miss Nancy very much!
Rest in Peace my friend!
I had the pleasure of having Nancy as my friend, work colleague to which I will have tremendous memories to reflect back on. My condolences to Wayne and the rest of the family.
Wayne, boys and grandchildren. So sorry to hear of your wife, mom, stepmom and grandma’s passing. I thoroughly enjoyed her sense of humor over the years. She took wonderful care of Ty and Chris and treated them as her own, as she did with Layla, Mason, Travis, Reagan and JJ. She was a truly brave soul. I’ll keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Cody, Jackson and Connor, your mom was a special lady.
I worked with Nancy many years ago at crescent Park lodge. So sorry to hear of her passing. She was a lovely person.
