Obituary of Nabil Abou Qoros

After a valiant fight, on Friday, March 31, 2023, Nabil peacefully passed away. His final moments of life were peaceful, surrounded by prayer, love and family. He was 64 years old. Beloved husband of Emma. Loving and devoted father of Layal (John Frank) and Hani. Proud grandfather of Luke. He was a dear brother of Samir (Eva), Kamil (Moni), Emile (Catherine), Atallah (Odette) and Amira (Gabi). Dear brother-in-law of Chawki (Carole), Wajdi, and Najwa (George). Uncle Nabil will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Born and raised in Lebanon on November 6, 1958, youngest boy to his parents May and Fayez. Throughout his whole life he worked as a Pastry Chef at Patisserie Carnaval. He was very talented, which afforded him opportunities to make cakes and desserts for many people including celebrities! His passion in life was cooking and baking desserts. He was so good at it.

Nabil came to Canada in 2018. He loved going for walks and would often journey down by the Falls and was always taking pictures and meeting people from all over. Nabil made acquaintances wherever he went, as he loved socializing. The best moments of his life were the times spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his fun character and great sense of humour. A gentleman who had the ability to pull off fun pranks and was always happy, singing and making people laugh.

Nabil had a strong faith and prayer was part of his daily life. It allowed him to have a bright outlook and he would often say “No Problem”. He was generous, very kind and will be greatly missed by his family and friends in Canada and in Lebanon.

A special thank you to Bernard, Melanie and their family Alanis, Aiden and Kamil. Nabil was their special Khalo and while in Lebanon, they provided care and love to him.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Scapular Church, 6557 Thorold Stone Road, Niagara Falls, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 1pm. Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 4501 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
