Obituary of Murielle Sylvia Davis
Suddenly, at the age of 83, Murielle Sylvia Davis left this world to be reunited with her partner Peter DeVries (2006), her parents Leo and Normande Vaillancourt and her brothers Roger, Normand and Guy. She passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday, January 2, 2023. Left to mourn are her children; Diane Levinski, Marlyne Shavalier (Rusty), Normand Davis, Doris Dancevic (John), Sandra Davis and Nancy Reardon (Chad). Her sisters, Diane Schaeffer, Cecile Lundy (Brian) and Joyce Mio (David) will have fond childhood memories to look back on. Her memory will also be lovingly treasured by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.Murielle, born in Rouyn, Quebec in 1939 was the eldest of seven siblings. Being the first born naturally made her a caregiver to her siblings and she adapted to this role very easily. When she became a mother she was able to stay home to care for her children. It was a position she took great pride in. She spent time cooking in her younger years and making pâté chinois was one of her favourites, that and chocolate cake.
She had a heart of gold, an amazing outlook on life and a selfless giving attitude when it came to her family and friends. She always had to look her best. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done and getting all done up with her lipstick on. She was a fan of the soap opera, Young and the Restless and would fancy a glass of red wine before bed each night.
During her stay at Millenium Trail Manor she enjoyed participating in the group activities, especially Bingo!
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A graveside memorial service will take place at a later date.
