Obituary of Robert James Brooks

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert "Bob" Brooks announce his passing on Saturday August 28, 2021 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Bonnie for 62 years. Dear father of Hope (Jim) Dalzell of Oneida, NY and Robert Brooks of Fort Erie and special family friend Joyce McQuestion. Bob was born in Toronto on September 24, 1936. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and devotion to his wife and family. Bob enjoyed watching the Blue Jays play baseball, taking care of his home, and spending time with his family. Special thank you to the 4th floor Medical Unit at St. Catharines Hospital, Dr. Scher and the palliative care nursing staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital. In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905) 354 2133. A private family graveside service has been held in memory of Bob. Donations in memory of Bob can be made to Ronald McDonald House or Canadian Veteran Service Dog Unit.

I worked with Bob at Provincial Crane and he was such a nice guy, he used to love his lunch of cheese sandwiches, always a happy worker. He will be remembered.
