Obituary of Moira Black
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Moira Black on August 19th 2021. Moira will be sadly missed by her soulmate Alex, her daughter Gillian (Kirk), her son Michael (Barb), her 6 grandchildren and all of her wonderful nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland and Australia. She was predeceased by her parents Anne and Robert, her brother Ian, and her dear sister Magdalene.Moira was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She met and married her sweetheart Alex there and moved to Canada in the late 1960's. For 30 years Moira raised her family in Bramalea while working in retail and for many years at the Brampton Public Library. Wherever Moira went she was well liked and brought joy to everyone who knew her. She was smart, quick witted, beautiful inside and out and had an infectious smile. Moira loved spending her summer weekends in Port Severn at Wildwood Park, where she would enjoy dances and happy hours with friends and family. Later in life Moira retired in the Niagara Region where she enjoyed travelling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
