Obituary of Michael John Nixon

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Michael on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the age of 46. Mike was the loving brother to George (Cheryl), Tracey (Mike), Tom (Kelly) and Chris Borelli. He was a cherished uncle to Taralyn, David, Feather, Adam, Megan, Wesley, Jeremy, Darian, Jamie, Dean and all of their spouses and families. Much loved nephew to Wally Healey. Mike will also be remembered by his girlfriend Krystine and her children Alyse, Bradley and Clayden; his special longtime friend Melissah Murray, many friends and steel worker brothers. Michael is now at peace and reunited with his parents, Jack and Sharon, his brother Clint, his niece Veronica and his dog Moomoo.

Mike worked at Union Hall for many years as a pipe fitter. He will be remembered by his family as having a heart way too big, always caring for others before himself. Mike had many obstacles to overcome throughout his life, but this never changed who he was at his core - a kind, loving man who would do anything for his loved ones. He enjoyed spending time with his family, walks down by the gorge and hanging out with his friends. He was also an avid animal lover, especially when it came to dogs. Above all else, Michael will be remembered for his love of his family. He had a special relationship with his sister Tracey, who looked after him over the years.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held at Ivan's Bar, 7188 Dorchester Rd, Niagara Falls on Wednesday, August 31 from 4-9 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Dog Rescue.
