Obituary of Michael "Mike" Bright
On Friday, May 13, 2022, our hearts broke as Michael John Bright left our world in the comfort of his own home at the age of 46, taking a piece of our hearts with him. He leaves behind his soulmate and bestfriend of 17 years Stephanie French, his loving mother Karen (Ron) Willis, his father John Bright, his devoted sisters Dawn and Kim (Sean) Watson, stepbrother Ted Willis and stepsister Tammy Willis, his cherished nieces Morgan, Andrea, Mikayla, Ashley, Terri, Alex and Sara and his nephew Christopher. Mike will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Lori (Barry) Noble, his brother-in-law Dalton, sister-in-law Alyssa as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and the two furbabies Snowny and Boomer.Mike will be forever remembered for his sassy, opinionated personality. He spoke his mind and you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He enjoyed reading comic books, playing a wide variety of video games on his PS4, watching the Simpsons, drinking an ice cold rye and ginger and cheering for the Boston Bruins, but he loved Stephanie and his family. He was an employee of Food Basics on MacLeod Road in Niagara Falls for 15 years. He played on many dart, baseball and bowling leagues in the Niagara Region.
In keeping with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133). A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Queen Bean Cafe on Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or to The Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Mike and would be appreciated by his family.
