Obituary of Michael Kenneth Panton
Sadly, we announce the passing of Michael Kenneth Panton after a brief illness on January 19, 2022 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 79th year. Loving father of Christine (Lloyd), and Michelle (John), cherished papa of Greg (Alex), Jason (Sonia), Lavinia (Moe), Jamie (Darren), Nicole, Rachel, Nevin, Mike, Amanda, Melissa, Nym, Sam, Luke, Emily, Eli and Sandra, treasured great papa of Kingsley, Denver, Harper, Rayne, Tobias, Damien, Gage and Cole. Michael will be fondly remembered by his brother John (Sharon), sister Liz, many nieces and nephews, and the mother of his children Ada King. He is predeceased by his son Mike (2019).As a child Michael moved to Canada from England, in his late teens he joined the Canadian Army where he met Ada and started a family. He then went on to work for Public Works Canada at the Welland Canal. After retirement, he followed his dreams of working as an actor. From the stage to the screen he followed his passion of entertaining people and making people laugh. He was consistently praised for his comedic timing on many productions. He enjoyed listening to classical music, reading books about the Kings of England and spent countless hours perfecting his garden. Of all his great attributes his sense of humour will be missed the most by those that loved him.
The family would like to thank the staff at The St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassion and care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905 354 2133) Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation for Michael on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at Essentials Cremation and Burial Service 102A- 4300 Drummond Road Niagara Falls, ON. Please see the attached link to book your time slot. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations in memory of Michael may be made to The Walker Family Cancer Center.

I didn’t know him very well. Only met him a hand full of times but from what I understand he was a good man. And the few times I remember meeting him he was always very kind to me and my siblings.
