Obituary of Michael Gordon Kadwell

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Gordon Kadwell passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Mike “Trucker” Kadwell, a lifelong trucker, drove through life with humor and a heart of gold. In 2022, Mike, with his best friend, Jerry Woodgate, started their own install business, OCIS. He could often be found tinkering about in the garage with small engines, or anything he could get his hands on to fix. He brightened our days with his jokes and earned the title of "Grill King" at family gatherings, where his BBQ skills were second to none. His love for family was his compass, always there to share in our joys and sorrows.

Survived by his cherished daughter Nicole Perry (Douglas), devoted mother Ritva Maria and brother Kenneth, Mike's memory lives on through nieces, nephews, cousins, and his adored grandchildren Jordan, Aurora, and Inari. Predeceased by his grandmother, Terttu (2004), grandfather Antii and his father, Gordon (1979). He found solace driving in his truck in the company of his beloved dogs, Holley and Sadie.

In accordance with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to the Niagara Falls Humane Society. A celebration of life will take place at a later date, where we will honor his memory and the mark he left on our lives.
