Obituary of Mian Hamid Muzaffar
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mian Hamid Muzaffar, who passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.He leaves behind his beloved wife of 48 years, Mahjabeen Hamid, and their cherished children, Aamir, Anika and Ayesha Hamid. He was predeceased by his son, Nur Hamid.
Mian was a devoted husband, father, and hardworking individual. He was a man of wisdom, thoughtful opinions, and a deep appreciation for education.
He trusted first and forgave later, always there for others and willing to go above and beyond. Aside from how he treated others, he was an incredible father who always showed up and wanted nothing but the best for his family. He was truly humble.
Mian was born in Pakistan and was sent to boarding school at the age of five. Those early years taught him many valuable lessons, and when he returned home at thirteen, he discovered his love and talent for sports.
Later, he attended Syracuse University, where he pursued a career in engineering and developed exceptional skill in his field. He worked on innovative projects and developments that continue to be recognized in the industry today.
During his time at university, he took part in wrestling, where he earned awards that are still displayed at the university today. He was so proud of these accomplishments that he even brought his children to see them.
Mian’s kindness and generosity were felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an incredible way of making people feel valued, always putting others before himself without expecting anything in return.
His selflessness and genuine care for others were at the heart of who he was, and those qualities live on so clearly through his family. The warmth, compassion, and respect that his family shows to others are a true reflection of the man who guided them, a man whose character, humility, and love continue to inspire everyone around them.
He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends and will forever live on in their hearts.
