McRae, David Allan Jr. “Pugs”

Obituary of McRae, David Allan Jr. “Pugs”
McRae, David Allan Jr. “Pugs”June 11, 1969 - January 7, 2023
After a brief illness, surrounded by unconditional true love and support, Dave "Pugs" took his final journey to the stairway to heaven. Dave leaves behind his Father and Mother David Sr. & Sheena McRae, his siblings Peter and Jennifer, his nieces Britanee, Danielle, Kylie, and Nephews Matthew & Curtis. Uncle Dave’s greatest joy was his Kinder Egg and Poutine drop offs to his Great Nieces Lillian and Gracie and loved seeing the “girls” and talking of their many shenanigans. He is predeceased by his Grandma and Grandpa Sinclair, Grannie and Grandpa McRae, Uncle Duncan, Fran, “Adams” (Steve) and his sister-in-law Shay. He will be missed by his aunts, Uncles, cousins, Godchildren, "Rizz", family & friends.
David was a man of few words, loud music, shared beers, and many highs with very little lows. He had a heart of gold, that giggle and an amazingly contagious smile. He could be found porch sitting talking about “the kids” making him dinners and watching his Miami Dolphins on silent with the radio blaring and shining a Zippo or two. Every song had a story, and every lyric had a meaning for him, “Pugs” lived his life truly his way and we were all happy to be along for the ride. He shared many happy times with his brothers from another mother “Tubby” (Kevin) and Curt and took great joy in the beer chuckles, taking bets for the highest bidder to shave those beautiful locks of curls and old-time stories around the bonfires. “Adams” and “Pugs” will be forever keeping watch over the fire. David was honored to have his best friend Michelle “MiMi” by his side throughout his life and through his final journey to care for, laugh, unconditionally love, and keep true to his final wishes.
A special thank you to the Walker Cancer Family Centre teams, Dr. VanderMeer and her team, Dr. Conen, Marti, the Nurses Raphael and Theresa for their care and support and Boggio IDA Pharmacy for all your help and guidance.
