Obituary of Maureen Anne Clarke
Maureen Anne ClarkeJuly 8, 1947 - January 17, 2024
Our beloved Maureen passed away on Wednesday, January 17th, surrounded by family in the house she grew up in. Now reunited with her parents Howard (1984) and Arlene Hexemer Clarke (1991) "Maurn" was the devoted sister of Marilyn and Richard Judge, and Nancy and David Mills. She was adored by her nephews and nieces Richie and Lakme Judge, Matthew Judge, Tim and Shannon Judge, Kate Mills and Ross Galbraith, Matthew and Shannon Mills, and Angie Judge. And she was the greatest great-aunt to Xavier and Rekha Judge, James and Jacob Mills, and Spencer and Nicholas Galbraith.
Maureen was a dedicated 40-year employee at Salit Steel and a lifelong parishioner at Chippawa's Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Besides doting on "her kids", she loved playing cards, watching her soaps, cheering on the Cleveland Browns, and the colour blue. She will be missed by all her many friends but most of all by Jan and Bruce Wright, the best friends a girl could ask for.
Special thanks to Dr. Kathleen Quinn and the fantastic staff at the PD Unit in St. Catharines and the Hemo Clinic in Niagara Falls. We are so appreciative of all the nurses and PSWs who offered their loving care and support to Maureen and her family in the last few years. Dr. Adebayo and the nurses Caitlin and Megan from the Palliative Care team made it possible for Maurn to stay at home. We are forever grateful.
She will be buried at Holy Trinity Chippawa Anglican Church Cemetery, 7820 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, on Monday, January 22nd, following the service and a gathering in the church; 11:00am funeral service and visitation beforehand starting at 9:30am. A reception will follow the interment.
Memorial donations can be given to Maureen's favourite charities; Chippawa Holy Trinity Church, Operation Smile, and Project Share.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services

Condolences to the family
Marilyn: My sincere condolences to you and Nancy and your families. I feel so blessed that we ran into to you and Maureen at Chapel Heights last May at the Alzheimers Walk. It gave us time reminisce through all of the fun times with Maureen and you. Sadly I didn’t realize it would also be my goodbye to Maureen. She left many people with beautiful memories of time spent with her. Though far apart know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I truly hope our paths cross again.
My sincerest sympathies to all of Maureen ‘s family and friends. Wishing you much comfort from all your happy memories of good times spent together.
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Maureen. I remember her from as early as my childhood through my adult life as we crossed paths at services at Holy Trinity many times. Your family are in my prayers during this difficult time.
My mother and I were very sorry to hear of Maureen’s passing. The Clarke family were very close to our family for many years. We always will remember the kindness and friendliness that Maureen expressed during her life. I’m sure her parents and my father Steve will take good care of her in heaven. Our sympathies are with you all during this difficult time. Marie and Kevin Fellinger and family.
I’m so sorry for Maureen’s passing. I’m so glad I got to see her at Ynots a couple of weeks ago. Another angel to watch over us all. RIP Maureen ♥️
