Obituary of Mary Ness (nee Connolly) (Formally Scott/Burton)

Passed away after an amazing journey, peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 81. Mary is back in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Beloved wife to Robert, and amazing sister to Shirley and Patricia. Loving and caring mother to Allan, Barry, Cathy (Brian), Daria (Frank), Elizabeth (1959) and Danny. Cherished Grandma to Shane, Shannon (2012), Shantelle, Shaunnah, Joey, Elizabeth, Heather, Jessica, Elisse, Trae, and GG to Logan, Ethan, Mattheo, Tyson, Aleigh, Lilly, Isaiah, Everly, Joey, Haylee, Alex, Chloe, Graydon and Oliver.

In her spare time Mary loved to sing, laugh, travel and she enjoyed artwork. She had many dogs in her lifetime and loved all animals. Above all else, Mary loved her family.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Greater Niagara General Hospital and River Road Retirement Residence for their compassion and care. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (5603 Spring Street, Niagara Falls) on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Memorial donations made to the Arthritis Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, would be appreciated by the family.
