Obituary of Mary Jane Honsberger
Cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on August 1, 2023 at the age of 77, surrounded by her family. Mary Jane was a loving mom to Todd (Margo), Carrie and Cory. She cherished her grandchildren Tylar, Trey, Qynn, Noah, Tyson, and Brady and was a special Nanny to Kyra and Michael. Mary Jane was the 2 nd youngest of 11, and she will be missed by her siblings Roger (Mary), Dennis (Angie) and Marlyn, her many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Mary Jane has been reunited with her late partner Joe Galway and her late brothers and sisters.She is remembered for her sense of humour, sharp tongue, love for Tetley tea, phone chats, her interest in biographies and her passion for people-watching. She will also be remembered for her warm spirit and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the emergency department staff at SCGH for their kindness, care and compassion. In accordance with Mary Jane’s wishes, cremation and a private family graveside service have taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Walker Family Cancer Centre.
