Obituary of Martha Poohack

A vibrant and beloved member of our family, passed away on September 29, 2023, at the remarkable age of 106. Martha will be deeply missed by her family and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her enduring spirit and the warmth of her personality.

She lived a long and rich life, filled with the love of those around her. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence lit up any room she entered. Martha was not only a loving family member but also an amazing baseball player, showcasing her talent and athleticism on the field. Her passion for the game was an inspiration to many and a testament to her competitive spirit.

Her zest for life and joy endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She approached life with enthusiasm, embracing each day as a new adventure. Martha's vibrant personality was infectious, and her positive outlook on life was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Martha was a woman of faith, finding solace and purpose in her connection with her creator, Jehovah God. Her spirituality added depth and meaning to her life, and it was a source of comfort and guidance, especially during challenging times. Martha firmly believed in God's promise of a resurrection to life in a paradise earth, where "no resident will say I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24) and "death will be no more" (Revelation 21:3,4). We look forward welcoming her back.

In accordance with Martha's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held to honor her memory.

Martha loved company. Once she said “when are you coming home” and we had a good laugh. She also had her favorite sayings, one I remember “never start what you can not finish”. She did her return visits at 100. She loved her business calls. Always wore a nice hat and you can see her favorite color in the photo. She was an entertainer playing her mouth harmonica and another unusual string instrument. She also loved solving puzzles. All who visited her were always encouraged. Looking forward seeing her and Nick in Jehovah’s New Earth.
