Obituary of Marilyn Ann May

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marilyn Ann May (née Onciul) on November 3, 2022 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 66. She has now been reunited with her husband of 22 years, John May (1996). Left to mourn is her son Jason (Sheena), her brother Gary Onciul (Helen) and her cousin Judy. Marilyn will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her but especially by her good friends Bev, Sandra Marie and Ann Marie.

Marilyn was a very social lady. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and just connecting with people, in person or over the phone. She was kind hearted, very giving of her time, a great listener and loved to laugh and joke around. She loved cats; being with them, supporting them or even watching rescue shows about them. Being in nature brought her the most peace; watching the waves of the ocean or seeing mountains.

She spent most of her younger days raising her family but eventually ventured into the workforce in a retail/customer service position. The world is a bit dimmer now without her light.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services. A private family service will be held in Marilyn's honor at a later date.

If desired, donations may be made to the Niagara Falls Humane Society. A charity that was near and dear to Marilyn's heart.

It it with a Very Heavy Sad Heart that I have to say Good Bye to a Very Very Dear Special Friend, ” Marilyn Ann May.”
She Will Always Hold a Special Place in My Heart.

She was so kind, so uplifting, so special. Her love of cats showed everyone who knew her how much of a special person she was.

I will never forget her huge Hearty laugh and the big smile she gave me when we first met at Seven – 11 in Oakville in 2001.

We became very good friends while working there and the friendship continued.

I am Very Blessed to have known Marilyn.
Harry and I both thought the world of her.

She Loved her son Jason and Brother Gary and all Her Family so much.

Her helpfulness and kind friendship to everyone will go down in history.

Marilyn and I were always there for each other and her thoughtfullness to others will have a reward for her in Heaven.

God Bless Marilyn Ann
May.
May She Rest in Peace.

Marilyn was my best friend for 52 years. We went downtown every night when we were teenagers. We had so much fun. Marilyn was the type of person that would give you her last dime, and that is very rare to have that quality. She will be missed but I will see her again.
