Obituary of Maria Luongo
With saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of Maria on July 23, 2021 at the age of 55. She will be missed by her father Vincenzo Luongo, and will be remembered by her loving brother Gerry (Gail) Luongo, her sister Teresa (Victor Vecchi), her sister Josephine (Paul Swec), her nieces and nephews; Anthony, Patrick, Kaitlyn, Denem (Kaylee Prychidny), Vittoria, Vincenzo, Matteo, Angela, Joseph, Alex. Maria was also a wonderful great-aunt to her great-nephew Luca James Chaudry. She will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Maria was also survived by her son Joshua who she missed and loved dearly. Maria was predeceased by her mother Antoinette Luongo.Maria had a gentle and loving soul. She loved music and enjoyed singing and dancing. Maria’s long walks were one of her favourite daily activities. She had a love for animals, especially her brother and sisters’ dogs. Maria will be missed dearly and always lovingly remembered.
A special thank you to Essentials for their loving support through this difficult time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services (905-354-2133). Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Essentials, 4300 Drummond Road, Niagara Falls from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by calling Essentials or emailing [email protected]. Family and friends are welcome to attend an inurnment, which will take place on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2:00pm, in the family plot at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
