Obituary of Maria Da Silva
We are saddened to share news of the passing of our mother Maria Goretti Pacheco. Mom died in the early morning of August 6th 2023, a few days after her 59th birthday. Those who were lucky enough to know her throughout the years, and those who only know her briefly, will remember the same kind and loving woman who went out of her way to make others feel valued and cared for.In her final years she sacrificed her own health and well-being, putting the need to care for others before the need to care for herself. Through all the pain and suffering she experienced over the last few years, her kindness and joy for her friends and family held strong until her undue end.
She would want this final message written in her honour and on her behalf to share that she was the devoted daughter of Irene Da Silva Melo and Jose Pacheco, that she was the eternally loving mother of Jesse Micheal Walker and Jermaine (Alisha) Walker, and was the ever-proud grandmother of River Silas Walker.
Her memory will live loudest in the hearts and minds of those she cherished most, and those who cherished her spirit in return.

In accordance with Maria's wishes cremation has taken place and an interment will be held at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2pm. In memory of Maria, memorial donations may be given to a charity of your choice.

Our deepest condolences to you both. Tia Maria was a kind soul and spoke so highly of her sons and grandson. We will always remember her loving nature, and she will forever remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Jesse and Jermaine, I have no words to make a difference in how you both feel at this time, other than assure you how proud she was of both her son’s, she will be missed by many as she was a wonderful person and the best friend you can ask for, she will be watching over her family as she always did Maria Goretti Rest in Peace my dear friend we will never forget you.

Your mum was such a lovely, caring, patient, and generous person. I feel fortunate that I got to know her and have her become my family.
River had the best grandmother, even with the distance she made sure they had a beautiful relationship and we’ll make sure he knows this. And Jermaine I know and could clearly see how proud she was watching you become a an amazing dad.
