Obituary of Marcel Hermel Pelletier

Marcel Pelletier, born on April 10, 1945 in Quebec, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2024, at Northland Pointe in Port Colborne. Known for his kindness, generosity, and love for life, Marcel's legacy is cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Raised in Welland, Marcel enjoyed playing hockey, showing horses, and tinkering with cars. He took great pride in building several homes, learning his carpentry skills from his father. Marcel shared a lot of laughter and stories at “The Office", the Belmont Hotel in Port Colborne. It was a hub of friendships and camaraderie.

Predeceased by his parents, Hermel and Germaine, Marcel leaves behind his son, Cameron (Krista), three sisters Patricia Pelletier (Normand), France Pelletier (Brian), Renée Macauley (Kevin), and brother Norm Pelletier (Lynn). His grandchildren, Jayden and Ty, will greatly miss their Grandpa Marce, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Many thanks to the staff at Northland Pointe, Port Place Wing for their exceptional care and compassion towards Marcel.

In keeping with Marcel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held. Family and friends are invited to raise a glass and celebrate Marcel’s life at The Belmont Hotel on Saturday February 17th, from 12pm – 2pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.
