Sorry to hear of ‘aunt ‘ Louise’s passing. Mom, Ruth Lofthouse, will miss her friendship. Remember days spent with the family when I was six. Also making ice cream at the farm with Ron and Louise.
She had a quirky sense of humour and was a lot of fun to be with.
Our prayers are with the family.
I always remember being welcome in Louise & Ron’s home, and Louise’s interest and care for others. She will be greatly missed, but so glad she is at peace with Ron now! My heart and prayers for peace comfort and rest go out to the whole family.
Our sincere sympathy to each of Ron and Louise’s girls. Louise was a good friend from years ago. I can still hear her laugh.
Where to start? We are shocked and heartbroken. Louise was at the same retirement home as my mom. I don’t know if she ever knew what a difference she made to my mom’s day in the short time she was there. My mom doesn’t express herself verbally much anymore but Louise would endlessly talk to her at the dining table and always tell my mom how gorgeous she looked. I know my mom loved her by the big smiles she would greet her with. When I told my mom who had passed away she furrowed her brows with a hurt look and her eyes welled up with tears. Louise was quiet but had a good sense of humour and came up with some zingers, especially when my husband would tell her jokes she thought were corny, along with a thumbs down which made my husband laugh. One day she said to me, “Tell your husband this one. I spent last night in a barn and today I’m a little hoarse.” He loved it. She would spend lots of hours on the patio with friends she made there. She was part of our small family at the retirement home and tears are still being shed. Everyone thought the world of Louise. We wish we could have had her company for so much longer but are grateful we had her at all even though it was too short.
Love,
Margaret, Patrick, mama Mitzi
I’m so sorry to see Louise’s obituary. I haven’t seen her around town in awhile and didn’t know she was at Red Stacks. Condolences to all her family.
